// DOCTRINE / VOICE
THE SOUND
> A voice is the residue of a person under pressure to be specific. Anything else is a voice-over.
> A voice is not a tone. A tone is a setting on a thermostat. A voice is a person at a specific temperature.
// THE TEST
- 01 Read the sentence aloud. If you cannot say it without performance, it is a voice-over.
- 02 Remove the first three words. If the sentence is now stronger, the first three were warm-up.
- 03 Name the person it was written for. If you cannot name one, you wrote it for none.
- 04 Replace each abstract noun with the concrete thing it points at. Re-read.
